Distracted Driving Prevention

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), over 3,300 people were killed in distracted driving traffic crashes in 2022. Distracted driving crashes accounted for 8% of fatal crashes, 12% of injury crashes, and 11% of all police-reported motor vehicle traffic crashes. Six percent of drivers ages 15 to 20 involved in fatal crashes were reported as distracted at the time of the crash. While drivers recognize using their phone while driving is dangerous, they’re doing it anyway. Drivers are lacking clarity and accountability when it comes to distracted driving. Let’s highlight the real culprit and help drivers combat the true enemy.
