Distracted Driving Prevention

“According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), over 32,000 people died in distraction-affected crashes over the ten-year period from 2012 to 2021. In 2021, distracted driving crashes accounted for 8% of fatal crashes, 14% of injury crashes, and 13% of all police-reported motor vehicle traffic crashes. Seven percent of drivers ages 15 to 20 involved in fatal crashes were reported as distracted at the time of the crash. While drivers recognize using their phone while driving is dangerous, they’re doing it anyway. Drivers are lacking clarity and accountability when it comes to distracted driving. Let’s highlight the real culprit and help drivers combat the true enemy.
